How the COOLSPACE Unit Works
Inside the unit, the fan draws hot, dryer air through the thick wet cooling media. As water evaporates into the passing air, it displaces the heat in the air.
The result is a mistless, discharged air of up to 28 degrees cooler!
Coolspace has developed the new "WAVE" personal work space cooler. The "WAVE" is built with the same quality features found in the larger COOLSPACE units. The "WAVE" is built of corrosion proof polyethylene, thick edge coated pads, large wheels for increased mobility plus many of the other permium quality standard features found on all COOLSPACE products. The "WAVE" also includes a matted top for placement of tools and drinks, a reservoir for hours of operation and offers up to 26 degree temperature drops! The "WAVE" is available in two models; a 10 inch prop fan for low velocity quiet comfort or a 12 inch high velocity model for those more demanding spaces.

COOLSPACE Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How does the cooler work?
As air passes through the media, it absorbs the moisture. This moisture absorbs the heat in the air, thus reducing the air temperature. Just like it does on a hot summer day when it rains.
2. Does the cooler add humidity?
Yes, but only a slight amount. The area needs a constant flow of fresh air to keep from rehumidifying the air.
3. How much of a decrease in temperature does the cooler provide?
Typically a 8 to 28 degree drop, depending on the existing dry bulb temperature and relative humidity.
4. How much water does the cooler use?
On average 2 to 8 gallons per hour, depending on the dry bulb temperature and relative humidity.
5. Does the cooler spray or mist water?
No, moisture is added to the air in a vapor state. Therefore, no puddles or wet spots are created by the cooler.
6. How long do the pads last?
3 to 5 years depending on the care given to them. If you have hard water, using the COOLSPACE conditioning tablets will help prolong their life.
7. How effective is the cooler in humid climates?
The air temperature and relative humidity will determine the effective temperature drop. Even in humid climates, you can expect around an 8 degree temperature drop. This drop in temperature combined with our high velocity fan can still create a chill factor of 15 - 20 degrees.
