When Are Duct Inline Fans Appropriate?

Thinking of purchasing a duct inline fan for your commercial or industrial setting? Be informed before you buy. Here’s what you need to know about them:

What they do: Duct inline fans can be used either for exhaust (removing air out an area) or supply (bringing air into an area) purposes. They’re ideal for settings where air quality may be of concern.

Ideal settings: While fan models exist for smaller applications, an ideal setting for such fans are in large commercial and industrial settings, such as warehouses, factories, garages, paint shops and any other large setting that relies on a duct system to move air against some form of static pressure.

Types: Duct inline fans come in a variety of models, from multi-purpose to tube axial to square inline. CFM (cubic feet per minute), blade size and drive type (as well as price) vary based on the type of model and accompanying features.
