exhaust air from a variety of commercial and institutional applications,
such as bathrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, offices, storage areas,
restaurants, retail stores, schools, and similar buildings...anywhere
quiet, high-capacity ventilation is needed.
The forward curved centrifugal wheel with its high static pressure
capability makes these ventilators suitable for either ducted
or nonducted applications. They include removable blower assemblies
and plug-in permanently lubricated motors for ease of
servicing and cleaning.

Performance ratings include the effects of inlet and backdraft damper in the airstream. Speed (RPM) shown is nominal. Performance is based on actual speed of test. The sound ratings shown are loudness values in fan sones at 5' (1.5m) in a hemispherical free field calculated per AMCA Standard 301. Values shown are for installation Type B: free inlet fan sone levels. Performance certified is for installation Type B: Free inlet, Ducted outlet.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
I am replacing a pair of nice quiet old Broan bathroom ceiling fans (80 CFM) because the motors are no longer available. Is the "Compact Ceiling or Wall Mount Utility Ventilator w/ Grill 89 CFM Variable Speed AF80" suitable to replace these fans? If so, why are these fans only listed as appropriate to industrial applications on the web page?
Thank you for your question. These units are able to operate at a higher static pressure than a residential style fan and are built for continuous operation. It would still be a great replacement for your residential unit, but may be a little louder than the quietest comparable residential model.
I have a garage attach to my house in Florida where the garage door is down most of the time. I would like to vent the heat to the attic and out the vent . The garage is 24Ln X12Wt X 8HT What size fan would I need
A fan doing approx. 700 CFM will exchange or move the air in your garage once every 3 to 4 minutes.
