QuietCool 2 Speed 1464 CFM Classic Whole House Fan CL-1500
The product Build Time you see represented on this site is only a typical number of days the manufacturer states it needs to build the product(s) when ordered. Build times are based on business days (excludes weekends & holidays).
The build time does not include the time it will take to ship the order to you (the customer). If an order has multiple items and comes from multiple warehouses, you may receive part of your order on one day, and then receive the remaining part(s) of your order at a later date.
*Please be aware that seasonal demand of certain equipment may cause build times to run longer than what is typical.
The QuietCool "classic" QC 1500 was designed in 2003, it was the original QuietCool fan, the first to be produced by QC mfg. Typically a QC 1500 is installed in each bedroom of the home just on the inside of the door. The purpose of this is to be able to have individualized zone control. A person occupying a particular room can turn on the QC 1500 in that bedroom, while having the door closed and enjoy fresh cool air in that room alone, while not using any other fans in any other part of the home. This fan is so quiet, it can hardly be heard at all, thus not disturbing the person sleeping in that bedroom. That is what's so great about this fan.
With traditional box style fans, you could not close a specific bedroom door in order to ventilate that room. That person occupying that room would need to leave their bedroom door open, while cracking a window, so that the air could pull through the room to the centralized box style fan. Though this might work for some, it does not work for everybody.
The QC 1500 has a 16" x 16" square grated grille. It is bright white, it blends in really well with everything else in the ceiling. The intake can be placed either on the ceiling or can also be installed on the wall. Sometimes, there might not be an attic space, or very little attic space above a specific room. A lot of times, there is attic space on the wall maybe leading to a hallway attic. If you do choose to place this fan on the wall, you will need a QC 1500 vertical wall adapter. The purpose of this adapter is to let the dampers close correctly. Dampers are used to stop heat and cold loss inside the home. Without this adapter, air will escape from the house to the attic or the other way around.
