Can it be left unattended, I.e run all night? Is there a thermostat? Can an extension cord be used? What is the recommended sf for this unit to maintain a minimum 60degrees f?

Yes, these units can be left unattended. They have internal thermostats used to set them to a desirable temperature as well as an internal limit that is designed to shut the unit down if it overheats.

All items and especially combustible items should be stored no closer than 3’ from the face of the heater.

No, an extension cord cannot be used.

The unit is designed for an area no larger than 480sf and heat rise will always depend on the ambient temperature in the area. This heater has approximately a 43 degree heat rise factor so if the garage is 20 degrees, it will take approximately 45 minutes to get up to 63 degrees; if the area is warmer it will take less time.
